We are updating the Appointment to Council Committees Policy.
Consultation is now closed - thank you for your feedback.
The Appointment to Council Committees Policy 2025 provides the framework in which members of the community can be appointed onto Council's Committees*, the roles and responsibilities of community members when on a committee and the mandatory requirements, including a valid working with children's check.
Council is seeking feedback from the community on the policy, including any gaps or areas of improvement.
If no responses are received by 22 August 2025, the policy will be adopted as final.
*this does not include the Audit and Risk Committee, Committees of Management and any Community Reference Group
