NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEASE LAND
The Rural City of Wangaratta (Council) gives notice under section 115 of the Local Government Act (the Act) of its intention to explore the installation of multiple universal electric vehicle (EV) chargers in Glenrowan and to negotiate a lease with an external provider to deliver this service. Council intends to enter into a lease agreement for a period of 10 years or more. The total land to be leased will be negotiated.
As part of this initiative, preliminary investigations have identified road reserve on Kate Street, east of Gladstone Street as a suitable location for electric vehicle infrastructure.
The area currently under consideration, is roughly highlighted in yellow:
This project aligns with our commitment to expanding EV charging availability across the region and improving accessibility for both residents and visitors.
