Training, Placement & Transport Study

We are investigating if transport is a major challenge for young people, job seekers and adult learners in accessing education and training opportunities.

The goal is to determine if a mobility program is needed and, if so, how could it work, and what models would be sustainable?

Before we explore possible solutions, we need to understand:

• What transport challenges you face when accessing education or training
• What types of support or solutions would make a difference
• If there is community interest in shared or subsidised transport options

We want to hear from:

• Residents aged 16–25
• Jobseekers and career changers
• Adult learners and up-skillers
• Parents & carers of school leavers
• Training providers and employers

This survey closes Tuesday September 30, 2025.

This initiative stems from the 2024–2029 Economic Development and Tourism Strategy, which identified workforce development as a key priority.
