Drop-in sessions
To support community engagement, we will also be hosting two Q&A drop-in sessions where community members can raise any questions directly with our consultants and Council staff. Details of the sessions are as follows:
- Friday, 7 February, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Wangaratta Library: No registration required. Drop in at any time during the session.
- Monday, 10 February, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, ONLINE: Registration is required to receive the MS Teams link. You can join at any point during the session to ask questions. Click here to register: Draft Climate Adaptation Plan Online Drop-in Session
In addition the Environment team will be at the Kiosk corner of Reid & Murphy street on Tuesday Jan 21 from 11am to 1pm.
Council manages a range of assets and services to serve residents, businesses, and the community, which will require adaptation to reduce vulnerability to climate-related natural hazards. These include but are not limited to:
- Council-managed buildings
- Parks, gardens and open spaces
- Roads, bridges, footpaths, drainages and other infrastructure
- Waste and recycling
- Town planning
- Emergency response
