Consultation has concluded
Every person in the Rural City of Wangaratta experiences our community in a different way. Factors including gender, age, race and ethnicity, disability and health status, level of education, employment, and religion all influence the way people experience the world.
As Council, we want to ensure that the services we provide are accessible and inclusive for all people in the Rural City of Wangaratta.
Over the past 12 months we have worked with the Inclusive Wangaratta Working Group, and with the community to develop the Inclusive Wangaratta Plan.
The plan focuses on three areas:
Access and Participation
Understanding and Celebrating Diversity
Engaging Community
At the Council meeting held on Tuesday 25 June 2024, the draft Inclusive Wangaratta Plan was endorsed for public exhibition. We received a high volume of feedback and will be considering each submission throughout August and September.
