The in-person feedback session has been rescheduled to 23 April & feedback has been extended to 24 April.
We're planning to construct a separate area for small dogs at Mitchell Avenue Reserve off-leash area, and we want your feedback on the concept plan.
When Council developed its Recreation Strategy (2024–34) we heard that community wanted safe, accessible and high‑quality recreation spaces. We've also heard that residents support a small dogs park, and have been awarded grant funding through the Victorian Government's New and Upgraded Dog Parks program.
We've already been engaging with the community and dog owners to better understand what features were important, and what improvements could be made. A copy of the engagement report is available here.
Since then, we've developed a draft concept plan featuring:
separate areas for small and large dogs,
agility equipment,
upgraded fencing,
accessible gates,
seating, and
water fountains.
We'd like to know if we got it right.
How to leave feedback:
Online: Complete the survey below by 24 April 2026
In Person: 3:30pm to 5:30pm, Thursday 23 April | Mitchell Avenue Reserve Dog Park
