We're planning to construct a separate area for small dogs at Mitchell Avenue Reserve off-leash area, and we want your feedback on the concept plan.
When Council developed its Recreation Strategy (2024–34) we heard that community wanted safe, accessible and high‑quality recreation spaces. We've also heard that residents support a small dogs park, and have been awarded grant funding through the Victorian Government's New and Upgraded Dog Parks program.
We've already been engaging with the community and dog owners to better understand what features were important, and what improvements could be made.
Since then, we've developed a draft concept plan featuring separate areas for small and large dogs, upgraded fencing, accessible gates, seating, water fountains and agility equipment, and we'd like to know if we got it right.
