Our community has spoken, and we’ve listened.

The Council Plan sets out our direction for the next four years, focusing on four key priorities:

  • Community Wellbeing,
  • Natural Environment,
  • Economy and Tourism, and
  • Infrastructure and Place.

The draft Council Plan 2025–2029 is built on the voices of more than 2,000 people from across the Rural City of Wangaratta. Through workshops, surveys, pop-ups and conversations with community groups, businesses, service providers and staff, we gathered over 3,200 pieces of feedback. It incorporates our Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan, and reflects our Community Vision 2045.

These insights have also shaped the draft Asset Plan, and draft Financial Plan, each reflecting what matters most to our community.

How to leave feedback:

  • Download the plan and see how your input has helped shape our future.
  • Online
  • In Person
    • Come see us at one of our pop ups and have a chat about the plan
      • Thursday, 4 September 4-6pm Wangaratta Library
      • Tuesday, 9 September 11am-2pm Reid St Kiosk
      • Monday, 15 September 8-11am Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre
  • Or make an appointment with one of our council officers to discuss your feedback
